My latest painting was produced as a gift for my grandmother. It is of a beautiful dark red double hippeastrum flower called Bernie Thomson. The flower was named in my grandfather Bernie’s honour by the Maguire family at Woombye near Nambour Qld. Mick and Nellie Maguire have the hippeastrum farm, which my grandparents used to visit when on holidays at Peregian Beach.
The painting was produced as a medium sized canvas print, as well as a set of 100 greeting cards.

Now that Christmas day has passed and there is no chance of ruining the surprise, I have posted my latest painting to the gallery. This one was commissioned by Neil for his wife Sam as a Christmas present. The shot was taken overlooking the picturesque Shoalhaven River on the New South Wales South Coast. It was a pleasure for me to paint, and I hope they enjoy viewing it for many years to come.

Meet the Christmas Kitty, full of mischief he was the the star of the 2008 Ever After Gallery Christmas card. A few people have been asking to see the original photo. If you head over to the gallery section you can check out the before image as well as a detail of his kitty face. I look forward to completing more pet portraits in the future.

Today I finished a painting of the three Dhu children for their family Christmas card. The location is Greenfeilds Beach, Vincentia NSW. This beach is often visited by the family on weekends, so it was great to feature the kids relaxing in their favourite spot. Check out the gallery for before and after shots, as well as a detail showing the kids faces.

Issue No. 27 of Complete Wedding Sydney is on shelf today. Very exciting news for us here at Ever After Gallery as it features our double page ad. The ad includes our new free greeting cards offer. Special thanks to Greg and Jessica Edwards for allowing me to use their painting!

4 years ago I had an intense experience, I married the love of my life. On receiving the photos from our wedding day, I was inspired by one in particular. I wanted to see the image transformed into a painting, to capture the spirit and emotion of such a magical day, to hang in my house as a lasting reminder. The concept behind Ever After Gallery was born.
My training as a Graphic Designer, graduating from the College of Fine Arts (CoFA), UNSW in 1996, and subsequent successful career, gave me the confidence to delve in the world of digital art. I embarked on a path of discovery and expression as I researched, trained and invested in the equipment required to bring my dream to fruition.
Based in Sydney Australia, Ever After Gallery is a digital painting and printing service.Your favourite photos are transformed, stroke by stroke and printed onto canvas, conveying the look and feel of traditional hand-painted oil portraits.
Utilising 100% cotton canvas and museum quality, fade resistant inks, your cherished memories become stunning works of art to decorate your home. The gallery wrapped canvases come in a range of sizes, are ready to hang and make a unique and thoughtful gift for any occasion.
I am hoping through this blog to give readers an insight into my work, and the events and artists who inspire me. I welcome you to share in my journey.
